Welcome To The Verona (NJ) Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is here to encourage, support and assist business in Verona. Through the Chamber, members can have their voices heard, as well as having a vehicle for social, cultural and community activities.

We are a non-profit group. Annual dues are the means to cover expenses in communication, social and community events, and problem resolution.

We are here to provide information. We also want to find ways, not only to help local business prosper, but to encourage new business to thrive.

We hope to educate our members and the community. To further that mandate, we (and through us, you as members) have become a member of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce as well.

Take some time to look over this website. Read all about us! You can see the list of current members. Feel free to contact any of the Executive Board members. Our businesses, addresses, phones, faxes and e-mail are open to you. Click on a link to contact any listing.

There is a calendar of events. General Meetings are open to all members, friends and people who are interested in joining.

We have a monthly television show on cable Channel 35 (VTV), the Verona Chamber of Commerce Roundtable. The show informs Verona residents, as well as other cable viewers, about local businesses and local issues. We also make available non-biased information that Verona voters can use to make informed decisions in local elections.

We always are looking to swell the ranks of our members. Chamber membership includes: invitations to general meetings, social events, the chance to appear on Roundtable, newsletter, roster list, listing and link on our website, and a voice in the Verona and New Jersey business communities. And, as time goes by, we hope to offer even more.

In our numbers is our strength. We remind everyone to “Buy Verona, for Verona.”

Message From The New President

Dear V.C.C. Valued Member,

As the newly appointed President, with the full backing of the executive committee of the Verona Chamber of Commerce, I welcome the opportunity to help reorganize the chamber after the sudden resignations of it’s president & secretary. Moving forward, especially in these times, it is very important for us to be unified. The chamber is almost 30 years old and it is my goal to help see it survive.

My first task will be to work with our town liaison, Bob Manley to regain our T.V. show. The Verona Chamber Roundtable was abruptly cancelled last month. This program has been aired on VTV for over 12 years and is of great value to our members and the community it serves. I commend Scott Drukker and Jim Thomas who have so generously donated their time in ensuring it’s success and providing a fun, informative and newsworthy show. I also hold with the highest regard the previous hosts, the late Vincent Bulger, Dr. Thomas E. Malanga & Steven Amadeo, who were gracious enough to devote their time and talent to make it a worthwhile show. Only in Verona!

And now for some great news! One Verona business owner has come forward, Anthony Lombardi of Anthony Roberts Salon and “Jerseylicous” fame, and has consented to donate his time in hosting the Chamber show. He is a national celebrity & would bring our local TV show to the next level. I hope, with the help of the mayor & town council, we can all agree to work together to spread the good news about the Verona business community and it’s citizens.

With the holiday season almost upon us, I welcome this opportunity to serve and I will keep you informed as developments unfold.

My door is always open and the executive committee and I welcome your suggestions and help in creating a better Verona Chamber of Commerce.

Platinum Fitness Opens New Personal Training Facility

Platinum Fitness in the Pilgrim Shopping Center, Verona recently held the Grand Opening of the new addtion of 7,000 sq feet to their existing facility focusing on Personal Training. The Verona Chamber of Commerce held a “Meet & Greet” on Monday, March 26th at Miele’s Restaurant with an overflow crowd. Chamber officials discussed plans to hold Chamber functions 4 times a year and role that local businesses, the Chamber, and Township governance have in creating an environment where businesses can thrive.

Rick Lodato Named President of the West Essex Board of Realtors

Rick Lodato was recently sworn in and will now serve as the President of the West Essex Board of Realtors for 2012.

The West Essex Board of Realtors is located in Montclair and serves the entire West Essex Area with over 600 members. Rick joined the West Essex Board of Realtors in 1986 and has served on many of the committees over the past 25 years.

Rick serves as Membership Chairman for the Verona Chamber of Commerce.
